As part of our committment to engaging with our local community we've partnered with our local non-league football team, Sevenoaks Town F.C. Initially this partnership led us to develop a fan app for the club on iOS and Android but over time we started getting involved with managing the club's social media presence.

A big part of the social media work was the requirement to create graphics for match days to help promote the team's activities on the pitch. These match day graphics include pre-match posters and in-match updates like kick-off, goals, half-time and full-time.

Creating the required volume of graphics in realtime during an exciting and action filled match can be quite a challenge. So we created an app to help us! The Matchday Graphics app by Leafcutter Studios lets clubs create high-quality matchday graphics at pitch side in real-time during a match with a few clicks.

The app is basically a power-up for the club's graphics design team. Using a library of templates the app populates realtime information during the match. This includes information like the opposition team badge, the current score, goal scorer name and photo. The app puts all of these elements together in a predetermined way and outputs the resulting graphic.

The app can produce graphic files, GIFs and movies and can easily share them with the major social media platforms (e.g. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook). This means a user at pitchside can create high-quality graphics almost immediately after something happens on the pitch.

The Twitter Matchday pack gives clubs the ability to create all of the Twitter graphics required for a match. This includes next match, matchday, teamsheet, kick-off, half-time, full-time, goal, bookings, substitutions, match cancelled.

If the club has high quality photos of the squad available then the player pack boosts the standard matchday pack by adding individual player graphics to templates. This means player specific events such as goals and bookings can be enhanced with player photos.

The Instagram story pack delivers tailored graphics suitable for posting to Instagram stories.

All of the standard graphics packages can be enhanced with the optional video boost - this adds a video option to each template to allow animations to be included.

As of September 2021 Sevenoaks Town are using the app for the men's and women's first team social media.
